I don't see my pet's profile when I scan the asset with my smartphone

You're excited to try your pet's brand-new Pawnec-powered accessory. You scan it to preview how you creatively built your pet's profile. Your smartphone loads and what you see on your screen is not his/her profile. That's disappointing!

Depending on the cause of it, your screen will show

• Login page
• Add asset page

The login page shows when your asset is either

• not yet activated, or
• unassigned

Activating the Asset

If you haven't registered your account yet, please follow this guide instead. But if you successfully registered your account and still don't see your pet's profile upon scanning an asset, the asset is likely either unactivated or unassigned.

You can scan your brand-new asset with your smartphone to initiate activation.

1. Enter the asset's unique serial key and PIN.
2. Select a pet's profile picture to assign the asset. (Skip this step if you have not yet created a pet to assign this asset to. This will leave the asset unassigned and you can assign it later after creating the pet's profile this asset is intended for)
3. Select the asset type and create an asset nickname. This helps you identify it in your asset list especially if you have multiple assets.
4. Click the "Add Asset" button to complete the activation.

Assigning the Asset

If you intentionally skipped step 2 or for some reason, you forgot to assign the asset after activating it in your initial account setup, these are the steps to successfully assign it to your pet.

Intentionally skipped step 2

1. First, click "Add Pet" from your account's home page or your pet list.
2. Build your new pet's profile to which the newly activated asset will be assigned.
3. Go to your Pawnec Assets page and click the unassigned asset.
4. Click "edit asset" and select a pet's profile picture to assign the asset to.
5. Select asset type and create an asset nickname. This helps you identify it in your asset list especially if you have multiple assets.
6. Click the "Save Changes" button to successfully assign the asset.

Forgot to assign the asset during the initial account setup

1. Go to your Pawnec Assets page and click the unassigned asset.
2. Click "edit asset" and select a pet's profile picture to assign the asset to.
3. Select asset type and create an asset nickname. This helps you identify it in your asset list especially if you have multiple assets.
4. Click the "Save Changes" button to successfully assign the asset.

As soon as you finish any of these steps, you will finally see your pet's profile upon scanning the asset again with your smartphone.
